DAD'S DAILY BREAD

16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation [from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior], to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed in a way that awakens more faith]. Faith is where the rubber meets the road. Yes I have faith that God is the creator and Lord over everything and yes I have faith that Jesus is His son and He lived a perfect life and died on the cross so that my sins could be forgiven. Yes, that the trinity of God is 3 separate beings but also one at the same time. But do I have the faith to turn to him for that comfort after a long day of work. Or do I have the faith to be teaching my kids about Jesus in place of trying to do something that makes me happy? That verse talks about faith so big and so effective that it creates more faith in everything it touches. That’s the type of faith I want!!! God please give me more faith.

Application:

Be more bold when it comes to my beliefs in my everyday life. Talk about Jesus more. Pray more. Stay in the word. Keep the truths of God’s word in the front of my mind. Do devotion with my kids. Read the bible with my wife. Pray with my wife. Preach the Gospel to my family!!
