DAD'S DAILY BREAD

 ⁶ We know that our old self [our human nature without the Holy Spirit] was nailed to the cross with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin. ⁷ For the person who has died [with Christ] has been freed from [the power of] sin. Rom 6

Our old self was nailed to the cross with Jesus. Really let that sink in. He took all the punishment that I deserve so that I could have a relationship with Him. And He did it when I did not deserve it. The thankfulness and the love that comes from that is what drives me to want to be better. It’s what brings that freedom. Christ took my sins to the cross. Through Him my old self is dead! I’m now dead to sin and alive with Christ! Freed from the power of sin. Sin only has the power in my life that I allow. It no longer has master over me. I have been redeemed by Christ! And with His strength I’ll be able to remove all the sin from my life!

APPLICATION:

I need to preach the gospel to myself daily! Don’t forget how fast sin can sneak in the back door. Stay in the word. Be better at getting into the word daily and praying more often. Stay humble and be thankful!! My life is so much better than I deserve! Thank you Jesus!
